Junk Journal Workshops

 For this beginner-friendly class, we’ll be creating a Hard Cover Junk Journal with fabric spine using my Farmhouse Memories printable kit! You’ll receive a pre-printed kit, and all the materials needed to complete your journal.

✔️ Pre-printed Farmhouse Memories junk journal kit (journal pages & ephemera)
✔️ Pre-cut front and back cover (chip board)
✔️ Binding materials (sewing needles, thread, awl)

✔️ Decorative elements (lace, trim, buttons, paper doilies, fabric, ribbons, ink, stamps, etc.)

✔️ Hands-on instruction and a basic information sheet (for reference during and after class)

  📌 All class payments are non-refundable. Due to limited seating and material preparation, we are unable to offer refunds once a spot is booked.

 📌 Can’t make it? No worries! If you are unable to attend the scheduled class, there will be a workshop live recording you can watch after class.

 📌 No-shows will not be rescheduled. Please notify us at least 24 hours before class if you need to reschedule.

   📍 Location & Parking: The class will be held in my home (address will be provided after registration). You can park in my driveway and in the field to the left side of my driveway.

  🚪 Arrival & Entry: Please arrive on time so we can start together and come around to the back door. Door will open 30 minutes before class. 

  ☕ Food & Drinks: Light refreshments (coffee, tea, water) will be provided. Feel free to bring your own drink. Dinner will be provided but of course it's optional. Meal will be discussed the week of workshop.

 🐾 Pets & Allergies: I have two cats. If you have allergies, please plan accordingly.

 A junk journal is a handmade book filled with a mix of papers, embellishments, and ephemera, often repurposed from everyday materials like book pages, sheet music, fabric, and vintage prints. It’s a creative and personal way to document memories, write thoughts, collect keepsakes, or simply enjoy the process of crafting something unique! 

 Junk journals can be used in so many ways! Here are just a few ideas:

• Memory Keeping or Cookbook – Capture special moments, travels, or milestones.
• Creative Writing – Use it as a journal, prayer journal, diary, or poetry book.
• Art & Mixed Media – Experiment with paints, stamping, and collaging.
• Planner or Gratitude Journal – Organize thoughts and track goals.
• Scrapbooking Alternative – Preserve photos and memorabilia with a vintage touch. 

 Crafting a junk journal is a relaxed, creative journey, not a race! While we’ll get a great start during our workshop, it may take a few classes to fully complete your journal. That’s totally okay! No one wants to feel rushed—this is about enjoying the process, learning new techniques, and having fun. I’ll be here to guide you every step of the way, making sure you feel comfortable and confident in creating a journal that’s uniquely yours.

 One of the best things about junk journaling is that there are no rules! You can use all kinds of materials to make your journal truly unique. Here are some ideas: 

 📜 Paper & Ephemera: Old book pages, sheet music, maps, vintage postcards, greeting cards, ticket stubs, scrapbook paper, coffee/tea-dyed paper, envelopes, paper doilies, ledger paper.

 📷 Memorabilia & Keepsakes: Family photos, travel souvenirs, handwritten notes, love letters, recipes, wrapping paper, clothing tags, packaging with fun designs.

 🎀 Fabric & Textiles: Lace, ribbon, embroidery, fabric scraps, old clothing pieces, vintage handkerchiefs.

 🖌️ Art & Craft Supplies: Stickers, stamps, wax seals, dried flowers, pressed leaves, watercolors, ink, distress sprays. 

 ✂️ Unexpected Finds: Junk mail, magazine clippings, playing cards, library cards, coffee filters, candy wrappers, sewing patterns.

 Bringing a few personal items can make your junk journal even more special! I’ll have everything you need to get started, but if you have meaningful scraps, photos, or paper treasures, feel free to bring them along.
